Who We Are.
It began with a bag found in a family home — soft leather worn smooth by decades of use. That rediscovered piece was the start of FÅGELBO, a meeting of cultures, crafts, and people.
At our core, two worlds reside. Nordic leathercraft meets Middle Eastern textile art — a conversation between North and South, tradition and imagination. We work directly with named artists.
The name FÅGELBO, meaning “bird’s nest”, is a tribute to our Nordic roots. A nest is strong, built with care, and made to hold something important. Like birds crossing continents, our work carries stories of craft, heritage, and time.
Inside each bag is an artwork of birds — species that migrate between the Middle East and Northern Europe or call both places home. They are living symbols of the journey our pieces take: crossing borders, carrying beauty, and quietly joining distant places.
Each piece is created slowly, thoughtfully, by skilled hands. The leather holds structure and strength; the textile art carries character and warmth.
We believe in art that lasts. In honouring time.
